Check the origin time zone
The date and time fields are interpreted in your device’s local time zone, shown above the converter. Adding a city adds a destination; it does not change the origin zone. Check the device setting first if the base time is meant to represent another location.
How daylight saving is applied
The converter uses each city’s IANA time zone through the browser’s date formatting support. Offsets depend on the selected date, not only the city name. Countries can change clocks on different dates, so the gap between two cities may vary during the year. Keep the browser and operating system updated for current rules.
Use the timeline as a scheduling aid
The highlighted daytime band is a generic 09:00–18:00 local window. It is not an employee’s availability, does not exclude public holidays, and does not prove a meeting slot is free. Read each city’s date as well as its time when a conversion crosses midnight.
Share enough context
The link preserves the date, time fields and selected cities. Because the base fields use the receiving device’s local zone, confirm the origin zone when sharing. Around a daylight-saving transition, a local clock time may be repeated or skipped; confirm such appointments with the participants’ calendars.

Does adding London make it the base city?
No. The input is still interpreted in the device time zone shown above the form.
Does the green band mean everyone is available?
No. It is a generic daytime indicator, without individual schedules or holiday calendars.
Why does a converted date change?
The same instant may fall before or after midnight in another time zone. Include the destination date in the invitation.
